Description

Brown Top Millet is an annual warm-season millet that produces an abundance of seed, which is readily eaten by dove, quail, pheasant, and waterfowl. Brown Top millet grows from 2 to 4 feet tall and produces grain in as little as 50 – 60 days. It can be planted either as a monoculture or planted in combination with other warm-season annuals.

Brown Top Millet is drought tolerant and heat tolerant, but can also be planted in low areas to be flooded when mature to provide feed for waterfowl. Because of its very short maturity, it can be planted as late as August and still provide ample supply of seed for wildlife making it an excellent choice for your food plot management plan.
